As some of you may have heard, earlier this year we at Mount Albert Manor opened our doors to very special guests, the Rescue Mediums. Rescue Mediums is a television show that follows the trials and tribulations of two internationally-renowned clairvoyant mediums, Christine Hamlett and Jackie Dennison. These corporeal hosts travel to homes and castles alike showing wayward and restless spirits into the light. Jackie and Christine’s psychic abilities include premonitions, psychometrics, psychic drawings, spirit contact and past life regressions. The ladies then research the information given by the ghost(s) to back up what has been relayed to them. Here is what they said about the Manor:

“Behind the sterile facades of this sprawling Mount Albert home hide decayed monuments to both days of glory and of despair. Formerly a retirement home and a centre for troubled youths, this building still echoes with tremendous sadness and madness. Two psychic sisters unwittingly came into this property through a strange twist of events and now seek to restore the spectacular home to its original prestigious state... but will the spirits trapped within these false walls help or hinder them?”

The show contains several unexpected surprises and the traditional toast that the ladies have at the end of each episode took place in the Town's wonderful Pub, The Prince Albert. Believers and non-believers alike will enjoy finding out about the Manor's history and how it connects to the Town.
